Service Description

Lymphatic massage, also known as lymphatic drainage massage, is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique that stimulates the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic system. This therapy aims to help the body maintain proper fluid balance, improve immune function, and remove toxins and waste products from tissues. It involves light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes to increase lymph flow and promote the drainage of excess fluids and waste products from the body’s tissues. Benefits Reduced Swelling and Oedema: Helps reduce fluid retention and swelling, particularly useful after surgery, injury, or for conditions like lymphedema. Detoxification: Promotes the removal of toxins and waste products from the body, supporting overall health and wellness. Improved Immune Function: Enhances the immune system by increasing the flow of lymph, which carries white blood cells and other immune cells throughout the body. Enhanced Circulation: Improves blood and lymph circulation, which can aid in the healing process and improve skin health. Pain Relief: Can alleviate pain and discomfort associated with conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Provides a calming effect, reducing stress and promoting relaxation through its gentle, soothing techniques. Skin Health: Improves the appearance and health of the skin by increasing blood flow and promoting the removal of toxins. Post Surgery Recovery: Supports recovery after surgery by reducing swelling, bruising, and promoting tissue regeneration. How it works During a lymphatic massage, the therapist uses light, rhythmic strokes and gentle pressure to stimulate the lymphatic system. The strokes are often applied in the direction of lymph flow, typically towards the heart, to encourage the movement of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels and nodes. This helps to clear blockages and promote the drainage of excess fluids and toxins. The technique is usually focused on areas with a high concentration of lymph nodes, such as the neck, armpits, abdomen, and groin.
